Dreams, Visions, and Divine Revelation That Led Him to Jesus Christ

Nabeel Qureshi’s journey from devout Islam to bold faith in Jesus Christ was not sudden, emotional, or impulsive. It was a slow, painful, deeply personal process, one guided by the unmistakable hand of God. Through dreams, visions, supernatural encounters, and divine revelation, God gently but persistently drew Nabeel toward the truth of the Gospel.

A Devout Muslim Seeking Truth

Nabeel Qureshi was raised in a deeply religious Muslim home. From childhood, he was taught to love Allah, defend Islam, and reject Christianity as corrupt and false. He prayed faithfully, fasted, memorized Islamic teachings, and passionately believed Islam was the final and perfect revelation from God.

Yet even in his devotion, Nabeel carried a dangerous prayer in his heart:

“O God, guide me to the truth, whatever it is, and whatever it costs.”

That prayer would change everything.

God Begins to Stir the Heart

While studying at university, Nabeel encountered Christians who didn’t fit the stereotype he had been taught. One of them was David Wood, who challenged Islam intellectually but also demonstrated genuine Christ-like love.

Nabeel resisted fiercely. He debated. He researched. He argued.
But something deeper was happening beneath the surface.

God was stirring his heart.

The Dreams That Would Not Leave Him

As Nabeel wrestled intellectually with Christianity, God began speaking to him in dreams, a method God has used throughout Scripture.

“In the last days,” God says, “I will pour out My Spirit… your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17)

The Dream of the Narrow Gate

One of the most significant dreams Nabeel experienced was of a narrow path leading upward, with great difficulty, while others took a wide, easy road downward. Though deeply unsettling, the dream echoed Jesus’ own words:

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction.” (Matthew 7:13)

Nabeel woke up shaken. The dream would not leave him.

The Vision of Authority

In another profound experience, Nabeel saw Jesus standing with divine authority, unlike any prophet he had ever learned about in Islam. This vision did not come from emotional manipulation; it came during a season of intense prayer, fasting, and fear.

He knew what accepting Jesus would cost him:

His family
His community
His identity
His safety

Yet the authority of Christ in that vision was undeniable.

The Night God Answered Clearly

One night, exhausted from months of inner turmoil, Nabeel cried out to God in desperation. He prayed something like this:

“God, I am on my knees. I cannot move forward unless You show me clearly.”

That night, God answered.

Nabeel received a dream that confirmed Christianity as true, one that aligned perfectly with Scripture, historical evidence, and the growing conviction in his heart. For the first time, the fear lifted, and clarity came.

Not confusion.
Not chaos.
Peace.

Revelation Through Scripture

Alongside dreams and visions, God used His Word to reveal truth to Nabeel.

When Nabeel read the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ crucifixion, resurrection, and divine claims, something stood out clearly:

Islam denied the crucifixion.
History confirmed it.
The disciples died for it.

The resurrection was not myth, it was the cornerstone of truth.

“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile.” (1 Corinthians 15:17)

Nabeel realized:
Islam could not explain the resurrection, but Christianity stood or fell on it.

And it stood.

The Cost of Obedience

When Nabeel finally surrendered to Jesus Christ, it was not with celebration but with tears.

He knew obedience to God would break his parents’ hearts.
He knew he would be misunderstood.
He knew suffering would follow.
